Wall and his wife Margaret donated 476 acres to the Suwannee River Area Council in 1962, which became the core of Wallwood Scout Reservation. J. Heston Heald was a special assistant to Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara and once the scoutmaster of astronaut Gordon Cooper.
